EL PASO, TEXAS (NBC) – Two more babies have tested positive for tuberculosis at an El Paso hospital, bringing the total number of positive tests to eight.
These tests are in response to a recent discovery that a nurse’s assistant infected with TB worked at the hospital’s nursery.
The worker reported TB-related symptoms in July but was allowed to continue working for weeks.
